LPG is obtained during the processing of crude oil or direct from the North Sea. It has numerous advantageous qualities, including being highly efficient, cost effective, clean burning, controllable and free of both lead and sulphur. In cylinder form (often referred to as bottled gas), it is also highly versatile and mobile.
Given such distinct qualities, LPG provides the perfect accompaniment to today's modern lifestyles, acting as an alternative energy source that overcomes society's increasing environmental concerns. Flogas distributes LPG in three ways:- bulk gas – propane gas tanks which are filled by gas tankers.
- propane cylinders – propane gas in potable red cylinders of different sizes for use outdoors.
- butane cylinders – butane gas in smaller portable cylinders for use indoors.

Bulk Gas
Flogas maintain a responsive distribution network throughout the UK & Ireland, with three marine gas terminals at Belfast, Drogheda and Cork and a land terminal at Ballyhaunis. Our network of terminals ensures that we can guarantee a first rate, prompt delivery service to all our customers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Deliveries can be placed by telephone or online, as and when required, or larger customers can benefit from automatic planned deliveries once average usage levels have been established.
Propane / Butane Cylinders
Flogas fill propane & butane cylinders at each of our terminals identified above. In addition to this, we have a number of appointed filling plants strategically located throughout the country to ensure maximum responsiveness to customer requirements. Complimenting this, we have established a comprehensive network of Flogas dealers from which cylinders can be purchased (many dealers offer a delivery service and connection service), ensuring that you are never far from a source of LPG cylinder supply.
