Why Work for Flogas?

Why Work for Flogas?

Flogas Ireland, part of DCC LPG, is a leading supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) & Natural Gas in both Ireland and Britain. Flogas Ireland also offer renewable energy solutions with our clearpower team, and since September 2016 we have launched our electricity business so our plans are for continued growth over the next number of years.

Flogas commenced business in August 1978 and services a diverse range of market sectors and applications including the industrial, commercial, domestic, catering, agricultural and automotive markets. The company has built an enviable reputation for service, flexibility and reliability in a very competitive market both in Ireland and Britain. The company has been awarded the NSAI Quality System Certificate from the I.S. EN ISO 9002 Series.

Our vision is ‘To be Ireland’s leading provider of total energy solutions to meet customers changing requirements, delivered to the highest possible standards’ and we believe we can only achieve this vision with everybody working together to the same expected high standards of performance and quality.

At Flogas Ireland we recognise that our people are the key to our success. One of our most important challenges is to continue to attract and develop the employees we need to achieve our ambitious growth plans and to deliver on our strict health & safety programmes.

Employee Wellness Day 2020

National Employee Wellness Day took place on the 1st May 2020 and saw the Flogas Ireland team take part in many activities to promote Employee Wellness whilst working at a social distance during the Covid-19 outbreak.  Activities included online Yoga, Cooking Demonstrations, Mindfulness, Employee Care Packages and not forgetting our employees’ little ones who took part in a colouring competition. A fun, enjoyable day for everyone and an opportunity to come together whilst staying safely apart.

Inclusion & Diversity Week 2020

On the 28th September 2020, Flogas Ireland officially launched our Inclusion & Diversity Policy “You Belong Here”. This is a DCC supported initiative and is being rolled out across the DCC Group. The policy is designed to enable us to celebrate, promote and champion Inclusion and Diversity at Flogas Ireland and to create a culture where everyone believes and feels that “You Belong Here”.

As part of our launch activities, which included a series of lunch and learn events, we heard the thoughts and perspectives of several different voices in respect of Inclusion and Diversity. Talks focused on topics such as dignity in the workplace, positive parenting, supporting people with disability, women in business and racism in the workplace.

We also launched our internal employee networks which will be a key contributor to our success over the next 12 months. We sought to promote inclusion and diversity through our social media channels, internally with some fun team quizzes and other events.

Sales Operations Coordinator, Michelle Hall

''Having worked for Flogas since January 2009, it is a great company to work for. I worked with the Accounts team for seven years as Accounts Assistant, before applying for Sales Operations Coordinator and moving to the Sales department. It is great to have opportunities to develop and grow within Flogas which continues to grow and expand. Over my time, both roles have given me a good knowledge of working across functions, which I love. I have been supported in both roles with any training that I have required, and the team in both Belfast and our headquarters in Drogheda are great to work with."

Michael Murphy, Area Sales Representative

"I began working with Flogas in January 2007 and was made feel welcome straight away. Flogas gave me an opportunity to grow, not only within the company but also as a person. As a Flogas employee I have received the best possible training to help me in my role as a sales representative. I can honestly say that Flogas is a great company and would highly recommend working for them."
